One platform.
Application-specific modules.
DIAMSENS combines a reusable sensing engine with electrodes, measurement profiles, calibration models and packaging adapted to a defined application. The examples below illustrate what the platform can enable; they are not a catalogue of generic off-the-shelf probes.
DIAMpool
reference application in development
DIAMpool: sensing for pool-water treatment equipment
DIAMpool is the first reference application of the DIAMone platform. It is designed as an OEM module for equipment that monitors and manages pool-water treatment.
Target measurements
- Direct free-chlorine concentration
- pH
- Conductivity
- Temperature
Value for the equipment manufacturer
- Direct chlorine measurement rather than an indirect ORP-only estimate
- A compact multiparameter sensing module
- Embedded diagnostics and adaptive electrode-state management
- Digital measurement values delivered to the host equipment
- Reduced dependence on routine manual cleaning and servicing
Integration principle
The module provides measurement values and diagnostic information. The equipment manufacturer retains control of dosing logic, safety rules, connectivity, user interface and product positioning.
Further application directions
Drinking-water treatment and distribution
Application-specific disinfectant and core water-quality measurements for treatment systems and distributed monitoring points where maintenance is difficult or costly.
Fertigation
pH, conductivity and, following dedicated feasibility and validation, selected nutrient or ionic measurements for irrigation water and fertilizer solutions.
Wastewater treatment and water reuse
Robust multiparameter monitoring for variable water matrices, with application-specific characterization of fouling, interferences and maintenance needs.
Aquaculture and natural waters
Distributed water-quality monitoring in environments where long deployment periods and limited maintenance access create demanding operating conditions.
How a new module is defined
A useful module begins with a precisely defined environment, not with a generic list of analytes. DIAMSENS and the OEM partner jointly define:
- Target measurements and performance requirements
- Water matrix, expected interferents and operating range
- Flow, immersion, fouling, maintenance and mechanical constraints
- Calibration and validation strategy
- Electrical, communication and software interfaces
- Field-test conditions and industrial volumes
Define the right module
for your application
Start from the measurement need, the water matrix and the operating environment. The application module is then configured, characterized and validated around those requirements.
